The Possibilities In Action
As I continue to ask myself everyday, and multiple times a day, “what else is possible?” - I have found, just as I expected, no limit to the answers. And that limitlessness is creating my reality. What a beautiful and terrifying and electrifying place to exist.
The newest development that I thank this wide open mindset for is this:
My path to obtaining German citizenship was initiated because of my marriage to my German husband, and our desire to live together in Germany. Therefore, it makes sense - and of course I’ve been over the moon about obtaining citizenship, despite the discomfort that the path has brought up in me. From learning a new language and navigating the release of perfectionism, to feeling the death of parts of my old life and welcoming the grief, to putting myself radically out there to be seen in hopes of finding a community, and so much more.
The path was initiated by my marriage to my German husband, yes, but it turns out - I’ve carried the claim to German citizenship without my husband. And it’s been there, available to me, my whole life, and my mom’s whole life, and her mom’s whole life, and her dad’s whole life, and his dad’s whole life. The claim to German citizenship has been lying dormant, and been made possible today by the allowance of holding dual citizenship between Germany and the United States. The power, though I thought it to be entirely my husband’s and simply bestowed onto me, has been within me this entire time.. and that’s how it goes!
My great, great, great grandfather, Eilert, immigrated from Germany. Before he ever gave up his German citizenship and naturalized as an American, he had a son by the name of Otto - given U.S. citizenship by birthright, but still holding German citizenship. And Otto then had my Poppy (great grandfather), who had my grandma, who had my mom, who had me. Look how we’ve found our way back. It’s almost unbelievable…
So what else is possible?
Now my mom, my aunt, my brother, my cousins - all the descendants of Eilert and Otto have a reasonable claim to German citizenship. Access to more world, more connection, more of what’s available beyond what our programmed brains tell us. Before I thought it was just me, and I didn’t even think it was me.

What Else is Possible?
and what else is possible, BEYOND what else is possible?
How does it feel to you to hear the question, “what else is possible?” In my perception, it feels expansive and light, as though my entire system is opening up to life, to receiving, and to being more of myself.
Our tendency as humans is to create future potentials based on our past experiences. We fixate on what we THINK is possible or meant for us, based on our desires. But when we THINK about future potentials, we’re actually blocking the natural flow of energy that wants to come our way.
Consider this - what if you’re blocking something beyond your wildest imagination from coming in, simply because it’s beyond your wildest imagination and you’re so tightly focused on that which is within your imagination?
I encourage you to be open to MORE. I invite you to shift the way you feel about “more” - there’s nothing wrong or bad about asking for or receiving it!
